In 1974 Clare Shoemaker & family founded their first drywall supply yard in Lethbridge Alberta. Thirty plus years later Shoemaker Drywall Supplies (SDS) has become one of the largest drywall suppliers in Western Canada with ten branches across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

  Today SDS is run not only by the second generation of Clare’s family, Ryan & Trevor Shoemaker, but by many other dedicated individuals as well. Keeping true to Clare’s vision and values, SDS continues to be focused on quality service, growth, and innovation. SDS is proud to be achieving these successes through key partnerships with suppliers, customers, and employees alike.

  In January of 2009, SDS announced the creation of WSB Titan, a merger between SDS, Watson Building Supplies from Ontario and the Beauchesne Group of Companies from Quebec. Overnight WSB Titan became the largest independently owned drywall supplier in the country.

  As the Western Canadian division of WSB Titan, SDS has continued to diversify well beyond the scope of drywall. Today SDS also supplies insulation, ceiling systems, roofing, steel studs, stucco, tools of the trade, and so much more.

  Creating SDS on line is one more example of how the company has grown over the last thirty years. We now look to the future and the next thirty years with great excitement as we find even more new solutions and ideas to better serve our industry.
